2016 Night of the Stars honorees announced

The Milford Schools Foundation is proud to announce the 2016 class of Distinguished Alumni to be honored at this year’s Night of the Stars. The Foundation is proud to honor:

  • Robert Nugent (Class of 1985)

  • Captain Kim Miller (Class of 1988)

  • Michael D. Barnett, Jr. M.D. (Class of 1991)

  • Joe Braun (Class of 1991)

  • Lt. Col. Joseph P. Siberski (Class of 1992)

  • Joshua Shaw (Class of 1995)

  • Mark Fishbach (Class of 2007)

Please make plans to join us on Saturday, Nov. 5 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at R.S.V.P. off of Wards Corner Road in Loveland. Purchase tickets under the “Donate” button at the top or bottom of the site.

Bricks on sale Aug. 14

Here’s another chance to own a piece of history: The Milford Schools Foundation will be selling bricks from the original section of Milford Main on Sunday, Aug. 14 from 2-4 p.m. at Milford Jr. High School. Bricks are $25 each, and come with a photo of Milford Main and a certificate of authenticity.

All proceeds from the sale help support the Foundation’s efforts to provide scholarships and to enhance the educational experience of the students in the Milford Exempted Village School District.

The Foundation will accept cash or check. Bricks may also be purchased online here on the Foundation website. For more info, email mmbricks@outlook.com.

The bricks have arrived!

The Foundation has wonderful news: We have finally received the bricks from the original section of Milford Main. We are eager to get them in your hands and have arranged a time for you to be able to pick them up.

The Milford Schools Foundation Bricks Committee will be at the entrance of Milford Junior High, this Sunday June 26, from 3-5 p.m. Please bring your cash payment of $25 per brick.

Additional bricks may be purchased on June 26th, or reservations made through mmbricks@outlook.com. Just a reminder that bricks are being sold “as is.” Each brick purchase comes with a photograph and certificate of authenticity.


If you are unable to make it this Sunday, we will hold another pick up session later this summer (with more notice.) If you need your brick to be shipped, please email mmbricks@outlook.com to make arrangements.

Purchase a piece of history

The Milford Schools Foundation has been given the exclusive opportunity to sell a limited quantity of bricks from Milford Main school, which is scheduled to be demolished this spring.

Bricks may be reserved at the Milford Main celebration that will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, April 17 in the Milford High School auditorium. Bricks are $25 and will include a certificate of authenticity and a photo of the school.

If you cannot attend the Milford Main celebration, reserve your brick here. Bricks will be given on first come, first served basis.

Proceeds from the sale will go to support the Foundation’s work providing scholarships, grants, special programs and supporting capital improvement projects for Milford schools.

Time to honor outstanding Milford alumni

The Milford Schools Foundation is currently seeking nominations for the 2016 Outstanding Alumni Awards.

This award honors graduates who have distinguished themselves in many diverse fields of endeavor after leaving Milford High School. They have done this through career achievements, service, or contributions to society in one of the following areas:

  • Arts/Humanities

  • Business/Industry

  • Community Service

  • Science/Education

  • Public Service

  • Military Service

  • Athletics

  • Special Recognition

In the past, these honorees have represented seven generations of MHS history. These alumni will be honored at the annual Night of The Stars banquet on Nov. 5, 2016.

The Milford Schools Foundation is accepting nominations for this year’s Outstanding Alumni Awards. Any Milford High School graduate who has excelled in his/her personal or professional life is eligible. Nominations for this year’s awards should be sent to Mrs. Mary Anne Will, Foundation President at either of the following:

Please enclose the nominee’s name, contact information, and a brief explanation of why you are suggesting that we honor this MHS graduate. Nominations must be received by the Milford Schools Foundation by March 15, 2016.
